For those of you not familiar with these records they consist of a series of Cards in a jacket envelope. The cards are approximately 3 inches wide and 7 inches long. Each card typically gives the soldiers name and unit and dates of service. Sometimes the distance traveled from the neighborhood of the unit to the place of "muster in" is shown as well as return distance from place of "muster out". Sometimes there will be additional information contained in the envelope with the cards; this is usually a Power of Attorney and will show the soldier's county of residence and signature. I thought I would summarize the cards that I copied and also offer to scan any record for anyone interested in a particular soldier. DAVID BAITY 1 REG'T (WYNNE'S) W. TENNESSEE MILITIA.
