This is a stray record that I copied when I was copying John Betty of TN: Henry Betty, 3 Regiment (Wimberly's), Georgia Militia--3 cards, Name also spelled Bettey on 1 card; served as Private in Capt. Jesse Thomas' Company of Infantry, 3 Reg't Georgia Militia; "Arrived at Camp Hope (the rendezvous) Nov. 21, 1814; Expiration of Service Mar. 8, 1815; from residence to rendezvous = 60 miles; from Darien (where discharged) to residence, Madison, 60 miles." Remarks: "Absent sick" Another card gives the date of expiration of service as May 20, 1815. Another card has "Roll dated Camp Darien" Henry was paid 30 dollars and 29 cents for service from Nov. 21, 1814 to Mar 8, 1815. Of that pay 72 cents was for subsistence. Laurel Baty, L252
