    3. >From the "Pulaski Citizen" Sept. 7, 1876 Lynville "Scraps" Miss Jennie Beatty, who for several years lived with her mother, Mrs. Hart, in this place, and who has latterly been residing in Columbia, is now visiting her friends here. We all missed her exceedingly, and are glad to see her pleasant face among us once more. Esquire Shields has, during the last week, moved into her house, which is one of the best in town. As just one-fourth of the residences are now vacant, we suggest that people in search of a good home will do well to examine premises. Sept. 14, 1876 Tinker Dave Beatty, the famous leader of a band of East Tennessee bushwackers, and Champ Ferguson's most dangerous antagonist, died at his home near Jamestown, 22 ult., aged about sixty years. Nov. 2, 1876 Lynville Mr. and Mrs. Beatty are going to Franklin to live among their numerous relatives resident in that town and indeed throughout Williamson. Laurel Baty, L252
