William Beaty Company "G" 139th New York Infantry; father William Beaty On August 15, 1866 William Beaty aged 60 and a resident of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York applied for a Father's Pension. He states that he is the father of William Beaty who was a private in Company "G" commanded by Jeptha A. Jones in the 139th Regiment of New York Infantry Volunteers in the war of 1861 and who was killed at Andersonville, Georgia on or about October 9, 1864 of "disease contracted while a prisoner." William Beaty (father) married Julia A. Beaty at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 15, 1832 and remains married.
