    2. The following 1800 Indenture sold land of John Cooper's estate. It shows L-2 Andrew Beaty as an heir by marriage to Elizabeth Cooper and continues to refer to the land as adjacent to William Beaty. Looks like Andrew might have married the girl next door. Nel L-2 Sullivan Co., TN Deed Book 3, Page 361/2 This Indenture made 25th day of October in the year of our Lord 1800 between Thomas Cooper, Andrew Cooper, & Andrew Beaty of Sullivan County of the one part & William King & James King son of James King & Samuel Goodson son of John Goodson of Sullivan County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Thomas Cooper, Andrew Cooper & Andrew Baty as heirs of the said John Cooper formerly of Sullivan County deceased the said Thomas Cooper & Andrew Cooper sons of the said John Cooper & Andrew Baty by intermarriage with Elizabeth daughter of said John Cooper for & in Consideration of the sum of 1000 dollars to them in hand paid that is to say three hundred thirty three dollars & one third of dollar to each of the said Thomas Cooper, Andrew Cooper, & Andrew Beaty the Receipt whereof thereby by each acknowledge have bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain sell aline enfurss? release & confirm to the said William King, James King & Samuel Goodson as Joint & Equal Tenants a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being on Bever Creek in Sullivan County which was granted to John Cooper by the State of North Carolina by patent bearing date the tenth day of November in the year 1784 which devolved on them the said Thos Cooper & Andrew Cooper & Andrew Baty by marriage with Elizabeth Cooper as coheirs of John Cooper at his death Containing 180 acres be the same more of less bounded of followeth to wit Beginning at Julias Hackers corner two white oaks on a Black oak running thence along said Hackers line due south 150 poles crossing Bever Creek to a white oak thence south 15 degrees west 70 poles to a buckeye hickory on Cedar Creek thence south 47 degrees west 130 poles to William Batys corner white oak & Black oak thence north 42 degrees west 120 poles to a stake thence north 47 degrees east 290 poles to the beginning together with all & singular the rights heretabments? & appurtenances to the said parcel of land belonging or in anywise appertaining to have & to hold the 180 acres of same be the same more of less & the appurtenances to the said Wm King, James King & Samuel Goodson their heirs & assignees of Joint & Equal tenants of aforesaid former & the said Thos Cooper, Andrew Cooper & Andrew Baty do by their presents bind each themselves & their heirs Ext'r & adm'r to warrant & forever defend the said land & the appurtenances to said Wm King, James King & Samuel Goodson their heirs & assigns against the claim of all & every person or persons whatever in witness of all & singular the foregoing the said Thos Cooper, And'r Cooper & And'r Baty have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written.
