In a book "Mountain History as I rescuded It" by Wilma Pinckley of Fentress County Tn. on page 99 she states Martin Beaty as a brother to Alexander ,James, Andrew son's of John Beath and Margaret Montgomery. Moving to KY and the first Oil well in 1819. He died in 1856 and is buried in Owsley Co., KY near Beattysville. RH
