I found this Chester Co., PA deed posted on Ancestry.com and wondered if anyone recognizes this William Beaty. He would be about the right age and location to be L2B's lost Billy Beaty, father of Andrew and Alexander. Has anyone researched this particular William Beaty? The L2B family moved to the area in NC that later became Sullivan Co., TN about the time this property was sold. Andrew was born somewhere in PA in 1761 and Alexander was born in 1769 in NC. In 1787, William Beatie and wife Frances sold land recorded in Washington Co., VA -- 14 Sept 1787 -- Wm Beatie & wife Frances sold to James Dickson, 254 Acres on water of 15 mile creek ?? -- Deed Book 1, p 66 (1280).
