Fayette County, Pennsylvania Deed Book 8, page 274-275 Whereas Thomas Beatty late of Fayette County dec'd died Intestate about the year 1840, leaving a widow and ?? children surviving, and whereas the said estate of the said deceased was appraised under a proceeding in the orphans court of said county at the sum of six thousand six hundred and fifty seven dollars and seventy five cents, and taken at said appraisement by two of the sons of the said deceased, the one third of which sum remained in hands of the ?? for the use of the widow during her natural life. Now this indenture which is that for the consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Jacob Dilliner of Green County Pennsylvania, I John Beatty of Green County, State of Wisconsin and one of the sons and heirs at law of the said Thomas Beatty dec'd do hereby sell assign and transfer all my right title and interest in and to my full portion & share of said real estate which will be coming to me at the death of my mother, the said widow Mary Beatty, which is the one tenth of two thousand two hundred nineteen dollars & eighty seven cents to the said Jacob Dilliner his heirs and assigns hereby releasing and transferring to him all my right and title to the same, or might have thereto at the time of my said mother's death at which time the said tract in virtue of this writing will be entitled to my full share of said funds. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this First of October AD 1853. John S.
