    3. Hello Michal-- The Beatys were in Indiana as early as 1825, and in Bartholomew Co. by 1827. They had come from Montgomery Co., KY. The Coopers were in Bartholomew Co. about 1825, coming from Grant Co., KY. Joseph Cooper married Louisa Beaty, daughter of Joseph Beaty, in 1827, in Bartholomew Co., she gave birth and promptly died, then he married her sister Dulcena in 1828. This family then moved in about 1842 to Tipton Co., IN, followed later by my own Beaty family headed by William Beaty who was Dulcena's uncle and brother of Joseph. Was your Sarah Beaty Cooper Titus a Cooper, or a Beaty who had married a Cooper, then a Titus? 3. Hi Virginia, My Sarah was a Beatty by birth, born in PA. Her father was William Beatty. He married Penelope Mount. After he died, Penelope married William's brother, James. They migrated to Marion County (now Morrow County) Ohio in the 1820's. Sarah married Jacob Cooper, had two children then after his death married T.L. Titus. They migrated to IL then to IA.
