This area includes present day Washington county PA, and in 1779 PA designated the area as Westmoreland Co. Washington Co PA was created in 1781. The Virginia counties were not formally eliminated until 1784/5 when the survey of the area was completed ending the dual claimed area. None of the VA counties shown include a Washington Co. Joe
