    3. Don, Most of our participants in the genetic testing program are descendants of a long ago ancestor who we believe lived in Dumfriesshire Scotland. But we don't have test results on any Beatty actually living in Dumfriesshire. So we have to consider the possibility that the Beattys of Dumfriesshire are different. Because of that I am disappointed that you don't have a good match to the other Beattys. As I noted your haplotype is distinctive enough that when we find one of your close relatives we should recognize him. Your match with a McKnight is close enough to be interesting. I think you should follow up with it. You have his e-mail address and perhaps he will respond. I can write to him if you prefer. The best way to compare details is for both of you to upload your results to Ysearch. He may already be there; I can't tell without knowing his ID or something about his test results.. Family Tree DNA makes it easy to upload your data. I can do it for you but they ask a few personal questions. Answers to these questions are not required, but they would help somebody trying to make a connection. I believe you mentioned that you have test results from another company. If so I would be interested in seeing them. --Earl ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, March 05, 2007 7:38 AM Subject: Re: [BP2000] Beatty info at World connect > Hi Earl, > > This is Don Beattie > > Your explanation sent to me via Laurel is well received and understood.
