It is confirmed that L-503 and the GEDCOM from Bruce McCartney (Heritage Centre Langholm) are the same family probably originating from Cannonbie area during 1600s (descent from John Beattie b. 1701 (parish unknown) d. circa 1769 at Thorniewhats Cannonbie.
