I am looking for My Mother s Birth Parents - Here are the statistics My Mother - Elizabeth Annie BEATTIE was born 22 May, 1909 at 188 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Died 5 Jan 1994 Birth Certificate: NY State Certificate no. 15956, Dated 27 May 1909, states Elizabeth Annie BEATTIE, female, dob 22 May 1909 place of birth, 188 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn, NY Mother, Mary BEATTIE, residence, 188 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn place of birth, Brooklyn, NY, age, 20 yrs old, no occupation given. Father, Moses SCHULSKY, residence, address written as, . . Madison, NY place of birth, NY, occupation, Driver, age, 28, in May 1909. Elizabeth was unofficially adopted, which is how we have the above certificate. Her Birth Mother wrote the agency, to meet Elizabeth, in the 1930s. Her adoptive Mother met her Birth mother, but didn't tell Elizabeth but said Elizabeth (in her 20s) was . . . "the spitting image of her mother"! I'd be glad to "give to get" - to help anyone searching for NYC archives. I'm not too far from NYC. (I used to go to Municipal Archives, Chambers St & the Fed Archives, Houston & Varrick often.)
