SADIE BEATTY DIED SUNDAY Mrs. Sadie Beatty of Iowa City died of pneumonia following influenza, Sunday morning near 9 o'clock on South dubuque street. She would have been forty-three years old the first of next year. Interment will be at Nichols on Wednesday afternoon at Nichols cemetery. The remains will be at the Harmon undertaking parlors until the funeral is held. Beatty of Mount Vernon, N. Y. Dies in Denver Denver, Col., Jan. 16.-John C. Beatty, aged 65, of Mount Vernon, N. Y., said to be a wealthy land owner, was found dead in a bath tub into which hot water was running yesterday. The body had evidently been in the water since midnight and was literally boiled. It is believed Mr. Beatty was stricken with heart failure.
