If someone could just come up with some documentary evidence related to this "Billy Beaty" who is supposed to be the father of Andrew and Alexander. Did this Billy Beaty live and die in East TN? Or did he move to Cumberland Co KY or another location? It seems to me that somewhere there should be a trail for him. Any discovery here would possibly open up a whole new bunch of information. Nel, any ideas? If Andrew, Alexander, William (Saline Co MO), James (Rutherford Co TN), and James' older brother (un-named in James' pension application), were to turn out to be brothers, and if Phoebe is James' twin sister, all children of "Billy Beaty", then we have a family of six children, not including the three younger men, John, George and David who settled in Overton Co after 1800. In what counties and states have the records been searched for this Billy Beaty? Nel, is there any way to tie the William Beaty and Frances to the proposed Billy Beaty, father of Andrew and Alexander. Or is the single reference to him by the Meek woman, the only one we have? James is the only one who knew for certain which county and township that he was born in. Have we combed the Chester Co, Nottingham township PA area for a William "Billy" Beaty who would be old enough (b. 1740-ish, to have been Andrew's father, and 1725-30 to have been James' father, and then of course, there's James' older brother, which would push Billy's necessary age back another two years or so.) to fit the bill? I have questions. Not many answers, but am groping for clues and possibilities. Let's kick this around!
