Donna L-3 THE KEYSTONE COURIER Connellsville, Fayette co., PA June 5, 1885 TOO MANY WIVES The wife of Beatty McCoy of Latrobe, after following her runaway husband for six months at last found him in Washington City in company with a young lady of Derry. The man and wife were reunited and the other woman was sent home. February 25, 1887 George Beatty, of Hamburg, Iowa, who has been visiting relatives in this county has returned to his home. July 11, 1884 William Beaty, of Hancock, Pottawattamie county, Iowa, is visiting friends and relatives in various parts of Fayette county. Beaty was a resident of Nicholson township and at one time kept hotel in Uniontown. He left for the west twenty years ago. (L-230) February 17, 1888 On last Thursday evening Miss Lou, the twenty-year-old daughter of C. S. Beatty, of near Leisenring No. 3 was seriously and perhaps fatally burned. She was engaged in filling a patent carbon oil lamp while it was burning, when an explosion occurred which ignited her clothing. With great presence of mind the young lady ran out into the yard and rolled herself in the snow, but did not succeed in putting the fire out until she was terribly burned about the face and breast. Her outer clothing was almost entirely consumed. 1880: Dunbar, Fayette, Pennsylvania (L-54) Source: FHL Film 1255129 National Archives Film T9-1129 Page 155B Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace Charles S.
