Hi Linda, I am a member of The Beatty Project 2000, as a member I have given my word that I would not give out Beatty data that wasn't my lineages; that I would help the person by refering them to the Beatty Project, and the people researching that particular lineage. We have over 400 lineage numbers assigned. I'm L-05. To assist you, I'm sending your email to the Beatty project 2000 mailing list. I'm sure someone will contact you, to assist. I would suggest that you also google The Beatty Project 2000 and read about the projeect on the website. We also have an ongoing Beatty Y-DNA surname project at http://www.familytreedna. they also have a website that you can google for. Of the over 100 men tested we have found that we do not have one common ancestor. although, there is one large group with several smaller groupings. They have a yahoo-groups mailing list. I hope this helps you and that someone researching your lineage (what ever number it might be) will respond soon. I think this was lineage 5. I believe that Annie Harris of L454 is a part of your lineage. Her information along with that of lineage 183 was merged into Lineage 5 and I believe it may have been separated out of lineage 5 again. Anyway I did a lot of research on this family several years ago and have posted many items. You might try searching the BP2000 mailing list Archives for the word Venango. Here is a link to the BP200 mailing list search: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/search If you use the advanced search option you put BP2000 in the name of the list and then Venango in the Body field. I found 93 matches. A book has been written about Robert Beatty of Venango which caused some of the confusion that linked it to lineage 5. Here is a link to message traffic involving the confusion over this lineage: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/bp2000/2007-02/1171989274 Laurel Baty, L252 -----Original Message----- From: bp2000-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bp2000-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Nelda Percival Sent: Monday, August 09, 2010 5:22 PM To: lindyclaw@aol.com; bp2000@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BP2000] Beatty Hi Linda, I am a member of The Beatty Project 2000, as a member I have given my word that I would not give out Beatty data that wasn't my lineages; that I would help the person by refering them to the Beatty Project, and the people researching that particular lineage.
