Beatty, was born in Ireland in 1847 and came to the U.S. around Dec 1863. The U.S census indicates that John's parents were born in Scotland. I have searched high and low but I can not find any documentation of John R Beatty (Beaty) traveling from Ireland to the U.S. nor any link to his family in Scotland. Can you help me? John R Beatty was married toi Louisa Hessig in Spencer County Indiana. Can you point me in the right direction. My mother is 79 and she would really like to know about her ancesters.
