I am viewing the DVD set "The Clans of Scotland" and wondering if it is known with which clan or clans the Beatty name is associated. Tom Beatty, 199

Hi, The only one I can speak about is McBeth, which indicates that the Beatty spelling is a derivative of McBeth. Being my line BP-05 has no match with other BP lineages,and they are from Ayrshire, Scotland about 100 + miles north of the major contingence of Beattys along the boarder. T can't prove it yet, but I think my Beattys are part of the McBeth clan. I don't believe, the boarder Beattys are members of a Clan. to find out of a clan honors the Beattyname you have to go to the website and see the surnames connected to that clan.
