    3. I am truly not in the know with Irish towns, etc. so the names are open to interpretation. The big clue is who the Robert and John of Greenvillage are in 1829 named lawful attornies. At one time I suspected L-95/180 since the Johnstons are Antrim. I leave and bequeath to my son Thomas Johns[t]on when he of age my right and deed of that tract of land on the other side of the spring joyning the lands of Henry Gordon & Robert McCullough excepting from the spring to James's line as before excepted subject nevertheless to pay one half of the money necessary for clearing of the legacies hereafter bequeathed. I leave and bequeath to my sons John Johnston and Robert Johnston (when?) they shall attain to the age of twenty one years severally that tract of land known by the name of "Stewart's Drafts" with an with an additionall survey (which?) is to be made on a warrant I have for 50 acres to be equally divided between them when run out properly by two men who shall be chosen --- my mind and will is that my son John shall have that part (which?) shall join Wm. Stover & further he shall have the timber of twenty acres of land from any part of James's land that lyes nearest to his and my son Robert shall have that part of the land that's next to James Bones & shall have the timber of twenty acres from my son Thomas's land that lyes nearest him and concerning my land known by the name of "The Back Meadows" and the tract adjoining it my will is that the tract I have no deed for shall be patented by my Executrix and Exr hereafter named by the money I now have & if they or any of them can sell it to any (advantage?) I do hereby fully empower them or either of them to grant and ---- the same and to make it good to the purchasers forever & with ----- ----- by the sale of land I order that they my Executrix (& Exr?) shall patent the land bequeathed to my two sons John & Robert and the remainder of the money after charges are paid towards patenting it I order that First my son Robert shall have thirty pounds & each of my daughters namely Elizabeth Johnston and Martha Johnston shall have ten pounds each & then my will is that the remainder of the money so got for said plantation shall be equally divided between my two sons John and Robert Johnstons share and share alike when they shall attain the age of twenty one years. I leave and bequeath to my three daughters Mary Johnston, Elizabeth Johnston and Martha Johnston four hundred & fifty pounds Pennsylvania currency to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike to each one hundred and fifty pounds when they shall arrive to the age of eighteen years severally to be paid to each of them at three sundry times fifty pounds yearly & is to be paid to all my children clear of interest by my executrix & Exr who is to raise it out of my estate as aforesaid for if the personal estate be not sufficient then James & Thomas must pay the remainder out of there estates joyntly to all the legacies be paid. It is my will (that?) my sons shall not dispose of their lands to strangers but that it may be (praised?) by three neighbors at ready money price & that their brothers may have it paying them for it. It is likewise my will that if any of my children shall happen to die under age my sons to be twenty one years & my daughters eighteen without lawfull issue or unmarried that then their estate shall be equally divided amongst my children share & share alike but if any of my sons should chance to die my daughters shall not insist on land but take their part in money. Item. It is my will that John Menoch shall five pounds of my estate (when?) he shall attain the age of twenty one years. Item. I will and bequeath to my daughter Mary Johnston a gray mare known by the name of Hors, a bed and cloths yet nevertheless in case the war continues & that my sons be driven from their habitations by the enemy that then the rest must not expect so much as before bequeathed but it shall be left to any three honest men to determine what each loss in proportion and I do hereby nominate and appoint my well beloved wife Elizabeth Johnston and my son James Johnston Extrx and Exr of this my last will and testament by me heretofore ----.
