    3. All, Yesterday I emailed Caroline Eveningstorm with info from the well-documented public family tree owned by agpoole as well as what I could find on Ancestry.com. Here is her reply: From: eveningstorm@hotmail.com To: rlbeaty8@hotmail.com Subject: RE: BP2000 Digest, Vol 6, Issue 52 Date: Mon, 16 May 2011 13:59:21 -0500 How generous and kind of you... this has forever been dead ends and misinformations and this is the very most anyone has ever been able to offer as a lead to any of these people... Homer Louis Beaty learned upon Myrtis Beaty's death that he was no relation to the woman who had raised him as his mother and he was left to assume that his father Homer David Beaty was his actual father but he was unsure and had no one left in the family to verify this or disproof it which leaves the rest of the family tree branches on down dangling a bit curious and we're still trying to piece things together back up the tree to some truck and roots as well and wondering why is there so much spanish moss that keeps getting in the way... haha... ah families... don't you have to love them... and of course I'm sure you do or you wouldn't be doing this... thank you so much for your help... I may indeed be contacting you again for further help... I am not a member of ancestory.com and not in a position to join at this time... any thing else you come across or contacts if you ever have time will always be appreciated and helpful Thank you ever so much, caroline eveningstorm She doesn't have access to Ancestry, so I copied her queries and info to the family tree owner. I'll also forward to her your collective efforts posted here in the most recent BP Digest. In a case like this one, where the birth was probably unrecorded and adoption was likely to have been unofficial, the censuses offer the best hope of solving the mystery. It depends on when Homer Louis went to live with Homer David and Myrtice, and on finding the right Myrtice Smith. (There are so many of them in the Georgia censuses.) If the infant Homer Louis was still with his natural mother in a census year, that would be a lucky find. I'm unfamiliar with Georgia counties. Perhaps someone out there more familiar with Georgia and Texas would take a look at the possibilities. Best, Robin Beaty
