    3. Sheaniqua, I am not sure if I have the correct information, as I googled "Gibbs Plantation" and was directed to a "Gibsland" in Louisianna. If you think that information is correct, I would go to the geographic index ,which is part of the Beatty 2000 project database and look at the lineages which are located in Louisianna, and see if you see any town or county names that seem reasonable. I would also suggest you go to the Beatty message board and search for "Gibbs" Plantation. I cannot tell you where, but I thought in the past I had seen something about that plantation. There are many James Beattys, as I have one that is thought to be a part of my ancestry, but I know that he was not part of the Gibbs Plantation. I am sending you these ideas, as I am thinking, but may be mistaken, that plantation owners passed their names to those who worked for them, and that you are looking for a James Beatty. If I think of anything else, I will post another message. Kenneth A. Reverend Kenneth A. Beattie, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 26, 2011 at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born May 5, 1927 in Defiance, OH to Arthur and Florence Beattie. After graduating from High School Kenny proudly served in the United States Navy SeaBees during World War II. He then married the love of his life, Jean Gentit on June 12, 1948. He was called into the ministry and pastored churches in his 55 years of ministry in Ohio and Michigan. During his pastorates, he served in the United Brethren, Christian Missionary Alliance and Wesleyan denominations. For 12 years he was District Superintendent in the United Brethren denomination. In Toledo, he served at Harvest Lane United Brethren Church and in 2009 retired after 21 years of service at Douglas Road Wesleyan Church. Kenny enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time with his family. Along with his wife of almost 63 years, Jean, he is survived by children, Susan (Steve) Bentley, Shirley (Rodney) Stanton and Mark (Janine) Beattie. He was "Poppy" to his nine grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by their infant child, Ronald Kenneth Beattie Friends will be received at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 3-8 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. The service will be officiated by Wesleyan District Superintendent Rev. Jeffrey Mansell and Douglas Road Wesleyan Church pastor Rev. Rich Rohloff. The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Holly Glen, the staff and doctors at The Toledo Hospital and Dr. Sarma Katrapadi for their compassion, support and special loving care.
