    3. Gail, et. al., I googled "kingsley beatty gibbs plantation" and got a lengthy Wikipedia write up on the Kingsley Plantation in Northern Florida. The original owner, Zephaniah Kingsley, apparently sold his plantation to his nephew, Kingsley Beatty Gibbs in 1839. A part of the original plantation is now a National Park. It is called Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve and is located on Fort George Island near Jacksonville. In my brief looking, I did not find any reference to the origin of the Beatty middle name. The nephew was a son of Zephaniah's sister (who married a Gibbs) so I would surmise that there was a Beatty in the near ancestry of Zephaniah and his sister. Perhaps their mother was a Beatty in England where they came from. You really need to read this Wikipedia article. This is one of the most fascinating stories about early southern plantations I have read. Old Zephaniah was quite a guy! Anyway, none of this helps Sheaniqua much. She probably knew of all this already. But, I will cc her email address with this information. BTW, unless you sent her a blind cc, she didn't get your message. You sent it to the BP-2000 list and she is not on the list, I don't believe. Les Beaty, L-20

    3. Les, my google was not worth much. You got a great amount of information that is very interesting. Thanks for also letting me know that my email did not go through. No wonder I have trouble communicating with folks.
