    3. Thank you. Shippensburg does look like a good bet. I did scan this Washington county bio for L-101 and it has some good clues. From the bio it looks like they married in Wash co., PA so possibly with census I can come up with something. It was interesting when I did the census for Williamson he might be Thomas W. from the Washington co., deeds. So he looks like Thomas Williamson Beatty and from ancestry probably married to Maria Eliza Phelps. Not a lot of luck tracing his kids yet. On every census they are surrounded by Hills family members. His father was James Beatty married to a Dorcas (last name unknown). His father James died in 1819 in Westmoreland co., PA leaving a will. His grandfather was James Beatty married to Margaret Hill who was the daughter of Joseph Hill. Margaret Hill Beatty had a brother William Hill who married Narcissa Beatty (parents and lineage unknown). I, James Beatty, late of West Newton in the Township of South Huntingdon, County of Westmoreland, and state of Pennsylvania, being sick and weak in body, but sound in mind, memory, and inderstanding, considering the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, and thereby be better prepared to leave this world when it shall please Almighty God to call me home. I do therefore make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say: First and principally, I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God, and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the direction of my executors herein after mentioned. My will and desire is that my personal property be sold by my executors as soon as convenuent after my decease.
