Thank you. Shippensburg does look like a good bet. I did scan this Washington county bio for L-101 and it has some good clues. From the bio it looks like they married in Wash co., PA so possibly with census I can come up with something. It was interesting when I did the census for Williamson he might be Thomas W. from the Washington co., deeds. So he looks like Thomas Williamson Beatty and from ancestry probably married to Maria Eliza Phelps. Not a lot of luck tracing his kids yet. On every census they are surrounded by Hills family members. His father was James Beatty married to a Dorcas (last name unknown). His father James died in 1819 in Westmoreland co., PA leaving a will. His grandfather was James Beatty married to Margaret Hill who was the daughter of Joseph Hill. Margaret Hill Beatty had a brother William Hill who married Narcissa Beatty (parents and lineage unknown).
