    3. Mike: Thanks for the e-mail and the information.  I went on and found the Linage 187 and the information you cited.  I can add a lot to that.  I will read what you suggested and hope to add documented information to that linage. Happy New Year. Beatty moved to Washington City in 1865.  He resigned his clerkshop in the same year to accept one in the Registrar's office of the Treasury Department, having charge of the receipts and expenditures of the government, until 1878."   p. 193  Clarks From Pennsylvania. Here's what we have on his family: 1   John Hamilton Beatty b: 1823  ..  +Mary Kelly    2   Clark Alexander Beatty    2   Louis Kelley Beatty    2   Frank Hamilton Beatty    2   Mary Jane Beatty    2   George Wilson Beatty    2   Walter Kirker Beatty    2   Chester Hopkins Beatty    We have two ancestor generations on this line. Hi, First and formost Mike Allen does the Beatty Project 2000 website, not me! And we all appricate his work! Normally to start you would join the mailing list and send them a copy of what you have. So they can help you figure out which lineage you are. Do you have a living male Beatty? It would be good to do a 37 marker Y-DNA test. Nelda L. Percival ~o~o~o~o~o0o0o0o0o0o~o~o~o~o Nelda L. I would like to become active in the site but not sure how to find the proper linage.  My wife's gggrandfather was John Hamilton Beatty who was born and lived in Mifflin County.  He was born in 1823. How should I proceed? Happy New Year to you.
