I know that my grandmother and grandfather married in 1909 and that my grandfather was in the regular army and was away at war a lot during the turn of the century. Grandmother was born in Ireland along with her parents. My Uncle always went under the name Norman Beattie born 6th December 1902 [he later went to the USA and died there in the 1980's no children]. Grandmother was Isabella Stanfield born Derriaghy parish her parents William Stanfield and Annie Maitland were married Lamber Lisburn Antrim. I am therefore looking for either Norman Beattie or Norman Stanfield [assuming that Grandmother went home to give birth as she was not married] Have looked for Norman Stanfield on the england records without any luck. Thank you for your help Kay From: peter.beattie2 Sent: Monday, January 10, 2011 6:03 PM To: GenMatch@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [GenMatch] Ireland Reply Hi Kay Quite difficult without more data.
