mea culpa-I believe is all I can say. I would have seen her post and using marriages and wills and deeds Laurel posted and doing census started at her point and worked back. I know I did it cuz that is how I label them "TNDekalb" or "OHLogan" etc. and all the census is in "more about" which people hate but is quick and easy to do and see. I just hate to see information lost so if I have time I put it in an FTW file. I desperately need to back up my files and send copies to some people. I sometimes don't get back to it again and they never get sent in. I probably have close to 50+ or more. Never really counted. Just a hobby to relax. Donna L-3 -------------------------------------------------- I have an FTW file called TNDekalb. Donna L-3 I don't remember making it but this was the letter and evidently the reason I made the file.. Tom Beatty, 199 ******************************************************************************************** Just looking online just as a curiosity kind of thing and ran across this web-site as well as the Beatty Project 2000. I have always wanted to do a geneology background on the Beatty Name but, have never taken the time to actually do it. So this is what I have to add, let me know if we are some how related. my name is Tonya Darlene Beatty, Holcomb. Father is Homer Dell Beatty born 6/14/1934 in Sparta, TN. still alive, his father is Johnah Moses Beatty born 11/22/1899 in ?, died 12/2/1968 in Chattanooga, Tn. and was married to a Willie Lee Johnson , his father was James Beatty (do not know if there was a middle name, my father (Homer) did not know) born Jan./1875 in ?, died ? was married to a Roxy ? that was born in Feb./1870. Not much to go on I know but all I could find out from my father. He had two brothers James Monore Beatty and Joe Don Beatty both deceased and a sister Anna Louise Beatty, Cobb. If you could give me some advise on howw to start my own seach I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to check out the names I have submitted to you. Did you get it from Tonya Holcomb? I notice that both Tonya Darlene Baty (Tonya Holcomb) and Edgar Baty (Edgar Beaty) are shown. Edgar, of course, is the person whose paper I mentioned to Gerri. Tonya is the person who wrote to Tom Beaty, L-199 in 2007 (that you mentioned in your email this morning). Tom said he was going to encourage her to join BP-2000. Apparently she never did. Am I correct that this lineage was never submitted to Mike for a lineage number? I wonder why. Les Beaty, L-20
