    3. >From the "Pulaski Citizen" Sept. 7, 1876 Lynville "Scraps" Miss Jennie Beatty, who for several years lived with her mother, Mrs. Hart, in this place, and who has latterly been residing in Columbia, is now visiting her friends here. We all missed her exceedingly, and are glad to see her pleasant face among us once more. Esquire Shields has, during the last week, moved into her house, which is one of the best in town. As just one-fourth of the residences are now vacant, we suggest that people in search of a good home will do well to examine premises. Sept. 14, 1876 Tinker Dave Beatty, the famous leader of a band of East Tennessee bushwackers, and Champ Ferguson's most dangerous antagonist, died at his home near Jamestown, 22 ult., aged about sixty years. Nov. 2, 1876 Lynville Mr. and Mrs. Beatty are going to Franklin to live among their numerous relatives resident in that town and indeed throughout Williamson. Laurel Baty, L252

    1. [BP2000] More Rev War Final Pension payments
    2. Laurel Baty
    3. I think I have copied most, if not all, of the Final Pension Payments for Rev War Beatys. I am going to summarize them all later but I thought I would mention two that I thought had an unusual amount of information: 1) John Beaty of Marbletown, Ulster County; died Sept. 5, 1834 and was survived by three children: Jane Beaty, Henry Beaty and John Beaty. He left no widow. 2) John Beatty of Moon Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania died 17 July, 1829 and was survived by widow Jane. She proves her marriage by the testimony of Mary Teel of Allegheny County, PA who states "John Beaty and Jane his widow was married in the house of Manuel(?) Gunvalus (?) father to this deponent, something near to twenty five years since." Also James Todd of Allegheny County (also given as of Beaver County) says that he was present at his (John Beatty's) decease" Laurel Baty, L252
