Hi, Elle, > > * Most researchers in the US are _not_ descended from William (b. > 1605), but from his brother. Maybe that's a case of the grass is greener ... I've felt just the opposite, being a descendant of John, and hearing from so many of William's offspring. <G> Both brothers left gobs of descendants. > > * Nobody seems to be working on New York State lines. > > * And nobody, but nobody, seems to be working on an Ari T. or his > (probable) father Olivet! > See the messages last evening from Randy Ortwein and Felicia Hazelton. If you subscribed too late to get them before the next archive is prepared, I'd be happy to forward them to you, along with my comment on an obituary of Ari T. that Randy keyed in. Olivet was apparently Ari's brother, not his father, at least according to the 1897 Boynton genealogy book that is considered quite good (but not perfect). In it, Ari T. & Olivet's parents are given as Justus Boynton and Rhoda Bennet. The last name seems to jive with your information, anyway. I especially appreciate the fine way you sourced all your information -- good job!!
