I'm another Boynton descendent from John-1, Joseph-2, Jonathon-3,Jonathon-4, Jonathon-5, Cyrus-6, Samuel Flint-7. I'm trying to understand the migratory pattern of this family group which apparently left Rowley after 1745, went to Fitchburg to be in Rev War (Jonathon-5) and War of 1812 (Cyrus) from there went to Essex Co NY ca 1832 and then to Iowa by the Civil War (Samuel). Were other Boyntons moving to upstate NY too? Anybody know why?? Samuel's wife was from Troy NY and recently I ran across a tiny town nearby in far west corner of MA called Boyntonville. Anyone know who this was named for? Would like to confirm the war records too. Thanks for your help. Sara Patton in VA
