If this is not the case, I will be perfectly happy to adjust. My web searches have turned up a PILE of Nathaniel Boyntons, but the one you suggest as a possibility looks as good as any. The timing is certainly right for a young man in eastern Massachusetts to be setting his sights on newly opened territory, like the upper river valleys of eastern and central Vermont. As in most cases of this kind, the hardest part of the problem will be to prove by a preponderance of credible evidence "which" Nathaniel Boynton settled in Cavendish, then Mt. Holly, Vermont.
