    1. Missing wives
    2. MR JOHN E SILLIMAN
    3. I am missing the parents of two Boynton wives. The first wife is Phebe Wilson who married Caleb Boynton, Jr. (Caleb,Ebenezer,Caleb,John). The marriage took place on 11 Feb. 1779 in the Egremont, MA Congregational Church after Caleb returned from the Revolution. Phebe was born about 1757 and died in West Stockbridge, MA on 15 May 1841. There are no extant church or town records recording the marriage. The second wife is Sarah (or Sally) Arnold who married Caleb Boynton, Jr.'s son, Henry Bilson Boynton on 15 Feb 1821 in Canaan, Columbia Co., NY. She was born about 1795 and died in West Stockbridge, MA on 19 Aug 1858. Her marriage record does not record her parents' names. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    3. Hi Chuck, I have your David Boynton in my database, I think... I show him being born in 1745 in Mendon, Worcester County, MA. He married Elizabeth (surname unknown) and according to my records, had 11 kids: Daniel, b. 1762 Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA John, b. 1765 Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA Caleb, b. 1767 Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA Sarah, b. 1770 Milford, Worcester County, MA, m. Richard Gage Jan 20 1794 Jeremiah, b. 1769 Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA Ezra, b. 1775 Leverett, NY Isaac Benjamin Betsey, b. 1777 Plymouth, NH, m. Nathan Gage 1799 Sally, b. Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA Patience, b. Hubbardston, Worcester County, MA The reason I have these folks in my database is because I'm researching the GAGE family, and in this generation, four GAGE brothers (including the two shown above) married four BOYNTON girls. I'm trying to find out how these girls were related. It is by John Farnham and Caroline H. Boynton on descendants of William and John Boynton who came from England in 1638 with Rev. Ezekiel Rogers settling in Rowley, Mass. The book is listed on Higginson's website 386 p. $45.00. Higginson's URL is: http://www.higginsonbooks.com/b.htm#600 There were four Boynton books, one a directory. There is a website of the American Boynton Association which lists a great many of the descendants in the above-mentioned book; the URL is: http://www.pluvoy.com/boynton.html There is also a website which includes some history of the Boyntons in England before 1638 and our ancestors. The URL is: http://users.aol.com/drquine/boynton.html There is a Boynton Forum where you see some current Boynton descendants names, send queries and/or messages. The URL is: http://www.genforum.com/boynton/ I am in early stages of my Boynton line/website and will post my URL when I have it finished - but this would cover Mass. (Essex County) and some Maine Boyntons. There are so many of us in the U.S. I hope we will eventually be able to help each other out in filling in the blanks. I need some help with ancestors Nathaniel and Hannah (Humphries) Boynton who married in Lynn on 12/27/1818 - need to find Hannah's parentage, she was my gg grandmother. If anyone out there can help, would love to hear from you and exchange information. Regards, Mildred Laurine cascobaylife@worldnet.att.net P.S. If anyone knows of a recent book by a Joshua Boynton, would love to have name, date, and where it can be gotten. If you have a problem reaching any of the above URLs, please email me and I will try again. M.L.

    1. Who married Mary and when?
    2. The Wise Family
    3. Hi all, I have a poser for you. In John F. & Caroline Boynton's book, it apparently has Sergt. John BOYNTON and his son both marrying the same person (Mary of Bradford) on the same date (19 Feb 1718-19). Has anyone looked into this? Is this an error in the record? Were they two Marys with a double wedding? Since John would be about 71, I would assume the former, but you know where assuming gets you! 3. Mark, This will probably blow your mind if you don't know it already, but in a single generation, four GAGE brothers married five BOYNTON girls. All of these marriages occured in Massachusetts: Nathaniel GAGE (1765-1854) married Lydia BOYNTON (1768-1849) Nathan GAGE (1770-1849) married Persis BOYNTON (1767-1795) Nathan GAGE (1770-1849) also married Betsey BOYNTON (1777-1855) Richard GAGE (1772-1850) married Sarah BOYNTON (1770-1815) Abraham GAGE (1775-1843) married Mary BOYNTON (1771-1860) I am desperately seeking to find out how these women are related. 3. Hello, Sooo glad there is now a Boynton list. Thank you. I connect with the Boynton family with my great great great grandmother Thankful Lois BOYNTON born 25 May 1825 Kennebec Co, ME. died 2 Jun 1903 Olivet, Eaton Co, MI. bur Olivet Cem. married 19 Jul 1843 Loraine Co, OH William Pullen EMERSON, born 30 Sep 1821 Kennebec Co, ME. died 11 Oct 1892 Olivet, Eaton Co, MI. Bu: Olivet Cem. She went by the name Lois and often signed her name T.L. She did not like the name Thankful. This is different than what is in the Boynton book by Joshua Boynton. He has her married to Solomon S. Emerson and moving to Calhoun Co. MI. In fact: Solomon S. EMERSON md Thankful Delano BOYNTON. The children in this book, belong to this couple. The two women named Thankful are aunt and niece and both families moved to Calhoun Co., MI., the earlier moving on to Eaton Co. MI. The two Emerson's are also related. These Boynton's and Emerson migrated from ME>OH>MI. All the info I have before my 3ggrandparents came from the Boynton Book by Joshua Boynton. Martha
