Hello: I'm looking for info on PATRICK BOYLE born in Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. He was the youngest of 5 children: EDWARD "NEDDY", BRIDGET, CHARLES, ISABELLE, and PATRICK. I don't know their parents' names but I know I the father owned and operated a linen mill that wove damask linen table cloths. The mother died first and then the father. Neddy took over control of the mill. Politics being what they were at the time and the family being Catholic, Neddy decided to sell the mill and move the whole family to the USA. In 1840, the Boyle siblings arrived in New York. I don't know if that's New York State or New York City. Bridget married PATRICK MCDONALD/O'DONNEL. Patrick was a policeman. They stayed in New York. Isabella married PATRICK MURPHY. They had 3 sons: EDWARD, PATRICK, and JOHN MURPHY. The elder Patrick Murphy worked on the ships going up and down the Mississippi River and he died in a unloading accident in St. Louis-MO just months before the birth of John. Neddy, Charles, Patrick, and Isabella and sons travelled on to Ilinois by way of the Erie Canal and the Great Lakes ending in the Galena-Scales Mounds area. They owned land in Woodbine-Jo Daviss-IL. Patrick married ALICE BOYLE (no relation) about 1860 in Scales Mound-IL. She was the daughter of OWEN and MARY BOYLE who were tailors that moved to the area from Philadelphia-PA. Patrick died in Scales Mound-IL on 11-DEC-1879. Alice died in Le Mars-Plymouth-IA. Patrick and Alice had 11 children: ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" BOYLE, OWEN BOYLE, CORNELIUS "CON" BOYLE, MARY BOYLE, ISABELLE BOYLE, ALICE BOYLE, DELIA BOYLE, PATRICK JOSEPH BOYLE, JOHN BOYLE, CHARLES BOYLE (infant), and CHARLES BOYLE. All were born in IL. In 1889 the Patrick and Alice Boyle family moved to Le Mars-Plymouth-IA and many family members remained there. Can anyone help me?
