Pat, When I discovered the List for BOYLE, I was excited as I have hit a 'brick wall' in my research. The messages that have come through so far, are of no help to me and they appear to be Catholic for religion. My BOYLE family is Methodist as far back as I go. Names in my research are BOYLE, HUNT, MERRITT, OLIVER, RUMMEL and etc. Jonathan BOYLE and Elizabeth HUNT lived near the PA/VA border when son John was born in 1790, They moved to Knox County Ohio in the early 1800's and Jonathan BOYLE died in 1808 leaving a young family of seven (7) children. I have a copy of his will from Knox County, Ohio. History books state that Jonathan BOYLE & wife were natives of New Jersey. I cannot or have not found anything before 1790 on this family. John BOYLE married Nancy MERRITT (date unknown) and they lived in Marion County, Ohio in what would be Morrow County, Ohio today. They moved to DeKalb County, Indiana in 1837, as did several of their children (maybe all). They are buried in Concord Twp, DeKalb County, Indiana. Their son, Jonathan BOYLE b 12 Feb 1815 in Knox County, Ohio married Elizabeth Oliver, 25 Feb 1836 in Marion County, Ohio and moved to DeKalb County, Indiana in 1837. He married (a second time) 30 June 1850 in DeKalb County, Indiana to Susanna Rummel. He had a family by both wives. Jonathan & both wives are buried in Concord Twp, DeKalb County, Indiana. This second Jonathan Boyle is my gggrandfather. I am still excited about this list and hope that someone else is researching these same people and can be of help in breaking through the wall. I might add that BOYLE has been spelled BOYLES in some records. Nancy
