The four sisters who entered the convent were stationed and buried in Kentucky; the others raised their children in Ireland. As these children grew up, many of them came to the US and settled for the most part in Massachussetts (Boston and Framingham). My grandmother Mary Boyle Hoar was born in Knockmeal, Kilronin, Ballymacarbry District; her parents were Patrick Boyle and Brigid Morrissey from Ballinagulkee, married at Touraneena in 1865. At least two of her siblings were born in Ballinagulkee, District of Cappoquin. Mary Boyle Hoar, her twin sister Margaret Boyle Fitzgerald and brother James settled in Yonkers. Two siblings-- Maurice Boyle and Nora Boyle-- were alive in Ireland when Mary Hoar died in 1938.
