I have traced my gggfather, Christopher Stephen BOYLE, back to NY through a copy of his Michigan death record. Christopher S. BOYLE was born somewhere in NY around Dec 26, 1829. His parents were John and Bridget BOYLE. Bridget's maiden name is probably QUIRK. Christopher had at least one son, William C. BOYLE, who was born in Benton Harbor, MI probably in the time frame of 1858 to 1865 since he married on Nov 25, 1885. Christopher operated a store on Main St. in Benton Harbor from around 1873-1889.
