If this rings a bell to anyone please respond. Thanks Much! Alannah - >Samuel Boyle was born around 1845 and was married in 1865, in St. Nicholas Church, in the Parrish of Liverpool, in the County of Lancaster. He married Mary Ann Bowes who was a minor. They were said to be "the couple from Downs". Other family stories have said "Newry" which is I believe a village in County Downs. They had a daughter Agnes, who was born 1864 in Beckenbridge, England and my g-grandfather John was born 1n 1868 in Birmingham, England. They were all of Irish descent and I believe came to Engand for work > I found Samuel's immigration papers from 1872. They give no place of birth or any info other than England. I do believe that he was from Ireland. They eventually settled in the Hauppague and Smithtown area of Long Island, New York. Mary Ann died in 1887, in Smithtown Landing and is buried at the Smithton Landing Methodist Church. These people were Catholic and that is the first mystery. The second is after MaryAnn died, there was no more trace of Samuel Their daughter Agnes was married in 1888, in Smithtown, to Benjamin Wood. John married Fannie Carr in 1891 in Brooklyn. I do believe that there was a second son named Thomas, but I have no proof. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have been working for years and it's my quest to find what happened to Samuel Any info will be considered. Thanks.. > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
