My ggg grandfather was John Boyle from Ireland. The story has been passed down that their name was O'Boyle in Ireland. John's daughter was Eunice Boyle and she married my gg grandfather John Chapman in the early 1800's. Do you think there is any connection? Dianne, I do not know . Do you know where the other brothers went and did they all come over that late? Our group came over before 1840 as my gr. gr. grandmother was born around Pittsbugh, PA that year. We can not find out if she had other brothers and sisters or worse yet we can not pick them up in Pittsburgh, French Village, IL or in Dubuque,Iowa. She was not quite sixteen when she married in 1857 in Dubuque. Did you have any Boyles move to the Dubuque area?
