My great-grandfather Patrick Boyle was born in Ireland in about 1842 and when he married Mary Canavan in Liverpool in 1867 his father was named as Augustine Boyle a labourer. None of the censuses in Liverpool give any clue as to where in Ireland he came from. Does anyone have any suggestion about tracing Augustine Boyle? Unfortunately I have no idea of Patrick`s mother`s name nor whether there were any brothers or sisters. Gerard Boyle
there were at least a couple of Augustine Boyles (aka Austin) in the Kilmurry Ibrickane Parish of County Clare, although the dates you give don't match up with any baptismal records. It'd be hard to nail down a connection unless you had some hint as to county of origin... Here's the list of Boyles I've been able to find in County Clare: http://family.boyle.net/finding/clare.htm best regards, Alan Boyle -----Original Message----- From: gerard.boyle [mailto:gerard.boyle2@btopenworld.com] Sent: Saturday, May 03, 2003 12:18 PM To: BOYLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Boyle] Augustine Boyle My great-grandfather Patrick Boyle was born in Ireland in about 1842 and when he married Mary Canavan in Liverpool in 1867 his father was named as Augustine Boyle a labourer.
