    2. I spoke to a wonderful woman (Ann) at the New Cathedral Cemetery today. She was very helpful. I had a death certificate for David Boyle d. 3/2/1911 and the certificate listed Cathedral Cemetery as the site for burial. New Cathedral contains persons buried at the Cathedral Cem. (they were moved to this location). New Cathedral is located on Old Frederick Rd. in Baltimore. Ann provided the following Boyle family members as being buried there. I am hoping to find some of my relations and I hope this information can help you. Gail Note: if you require the Section/Lot/Grave number, please email me and I will send it to you. 3. It has come to my attention that there is a new virus making its round, the W32.httw.fizzer which is actually a worm and comes with attachments. You can check all about it here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.hllw.fizzer@mm.html Remember: Subscribe to virus program, McAfee, Norton, etc. There are also free ones on the internet. Keep your virus definitions current. I use Norton because it is the only one that I have found that scans incoming and outgoing Netscape mail. If you use Outlook, most programs work, but remember to configure the software to scan your mail. While our lists pertain to genealogy, I tried to alert all the subscribers of new viruses as they occur. If you come across a new virus, remember to check with me first before posting an alert to the list. Thanks for your cooperation. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com Professional Genealogy Research All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton 2002

    1. [Boyle] Descendants of David Boyle
    2. Linda Lang
    3. Hi, there is a great new web site put out by Putnam County, Ill called the Descendants of David Boyle. I was really excited to see it as there is not too many family trees posted which include the David Boyle family of Putnam, Ill. He was one of the original settlers there along with Abner Boyle. I am a little confused though, I thought Abner Boyle was the brother of David Boyle Sr and this site shows Abner being his son. This is what my records show: David Boyle Sr, b.1784 in Bedford County, Va m. Rachel Crews, b1786 David Boyle, jr, b. Jan. 6,1824 in Todd county, Ky m Lovina Mathis, b. Sept.16, 1824 Abner Boyle, b1808 in Bedford County, Va m Matilda Wilson; they were married in1831, Putnam Co, Ill. Does anyone else have Abner and David Boyle, Sr as brothers? Also, I have listed for parents of David Boyle, Sr, father:Robert Boyle & mother, Jamimah unknown. Pls email me at ldlang @hotmail.com....my name is Linda Boyle Lang and David Boyle jr is my gggrandfather! Thanks. 3. Dear Elaine, Thanks for your quick response! I am currently residing in Spokane, WA.a recent victim of a wishy-washy economy-and involved in a search for rewarding employment. The fact that we may be related is fascinating. I have been unable to turn up much on the Boyles-despite the fact that I am one. I also received information from "the Sisters" that was very helpful. Sr. Barbara Peterson filled in some gaps for me; but I haven't been able to tie any knots. Maybe you could help? In October I visited Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. There I found the graves of my grandfather William Dennis Boyle (1878-1938), his first wife Kate Burke-Boyle (1878-1925), his brother Thomas (1875-1931), my great-grandfather Thomas Patrick (1828-1888) and great-grandmother, Margaret (1844-1909). This last part is where we seem to part company.unless gr-grandpa was married twice, or there is another branch of the family I am unaware of. The most fascinating part of this are the birth years of the men in the family. Thomas Patrick (1828) William D., Sr. (1878)-when Thomas was 50 William D., Jr. (my dad, 1928)-when William, Sr. was 50 and the fact that the fathers both died when the boys were 10. My dad thought he was doomed at 60, though by that time I was 32. My grandmother, Josephine Tompkins-Boyle (1892-1980) was William, Sr's second wife. You can see that there are some discrepancies-unless I'm not seeing the whole story. I was born in Kansas City, MO in 1952. Dad was born and raised there. He and mom currently are retired and living in Carlsbad, CA. If you can help me with the Henry-Thomas-William-William line.that would be great! How 'bout you? 3. there were at least a couple of Augustine Boyles (aka Austin) in the Kilmurry Ibrickane Parish of County Clare, although the dates you give don't match up with any baptismal records. It'd be hard to nail down a connection unless you had some hint as to county of origin... Here's the list of Boyles I've been able to find in County Clare: http://family.boyle.net/finding/clare.htm best regards, Alan Boyle -----Original Message----- From: gerard.boyle [mailto:gerard.boyle2@btopenworld.com] Sent: Saturday, May 03, 2003 12:18 PM To: BOYLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Boyle] Augustine Boyle My great-grandfather Patrick Boyle was born in Ireland in about 1842 and when he married Mary Canavan in Liverpool in 1867 his father was named as Augustine Boyle a labourer. 3. Dianne, I do not know . Do you know where the other brothers went and did they all come over that late? Our group came over before 1840 as my gr. gr. grandmother was born around Pittsbugh, PA that year. We can not find out if she had other brothers and sisters or worse yet we can not pick them up in Pittsburgh, French Village, IL or in Dubuque,Iowa. She was not quite sixteen when she married in 1857 in Dubuque. Did you have any Boyles move to the Dubuque area? 3. I have a John Boyle but don't know where in Ireland he was born My understanding he came to live in ms., stayed there married and had children I did a little research and found in 1870 he was living in Adam's ms and he just put from Ireland his wife was his wife was 14 when he married but in those days it was very common and he was quite a bit older. one of his children moved to New Orleans with his children and stayed. I am 40 miles from New Orleans that's all the information I was able to come up with I should go back to the Library and really do some research. Thanks!
