    1. [Boyle] My website is updated with many photos, documents, links, names, etc.
    2. Hello list, I've updated my website with not only my own family information, but also some data that I've put together to hopefully help others. Here's what you'll find. 1. Of course my family info with copies of documents such as those that I found at the National Archives in DC in my great great grandfather Louis KIRCHER's (born in Weinsberg, Wurttemberg) Civil War Pension files. Included in those papers are sworn statements made by friends to aid in the pension eligibility research. 2. I own a few census index cds and have full access to ancestry.com/ancestryplus and am willing to do look ups. Just click on the census image on my home page and it will take you to a page where there are directions to follow. Please follow them or I will not be able to answer your request. 3. Some inscriptions that I found on tombstones that were near those of my own family members. 4. The Last Wills of 4 WEINBERG/VINEYARD/VINYARD ancestors. They came from Lavern, Westphalia, Prussia to Cumberland County, New Jersey. 5. Four partial Ships' Lists all Liverpool, England to Philadelphia, PA. 1907 - 1910. Not all passengers were from England, so look them over for your ancestral names. 6. I transcribed 3 pages from the Philadelphia, PA. Orphan's Court Marriage Records Index 1885 - 1916. Many names there! 7. I put some old unknown photos from all over the world from ebay on my site in hopes that someone might find a relative there. If interested, you should be able to just right click on the enlarged photo and then left click on "Save Picture As". 8. Many fantastic useful free links. There are a few that provide limited access but still give you enough free information to start out with. I update the links monthly and mark new ones as NEW with bright red letters that you can not miss. 9. Photos of headstones at Fernwood Cemetery coming soon. the URL is... http://hometown.aol.com/ella12866/index.html Some of you might find accessing this URL a little easier, but the graphics don't line up right... http://members.aol.com/ella12866/index.html If you should have trouble accessing the page just please continue to try again later. It just means that a lot of people are trying to access it and I guess AOL can't handle the overload. I am sending this out to all of the lists that I belong to. I swear that I am giving the correct URL Please forgive my multiple postings, but I think it's important that I let as many people know about my site as humanly possible. Please pass it on to everyone you know who is interested in genealogy who might be on a list that by some small miracle I don't belong to. There is definitely something there for everyone from beginner to expert. If you're reading this from a specific surname mailing list and you can't find the surname in any of the documents/transcriptions or family trees, send me an email. Most likely that means that the surname is in my family tree but just hasn't found a spot on my website yet. If you're reading this post off of a Geographic mailing list and no one on my website is from that area, then check the ships' lists for country/state/city of origin or final destination. If you don't find anything there, then again, email me. I have ancestors from there who didn't make it on my website yet. Happy hunting and good luck, Ella

    1. Re: [Boyle] Philippe Boyle, chr 1591 inEast Down, Devon
    2. I saw your posting about Phillipe Boyle and thought I pass on my interest in hope that we may "related". My earliest ancestor in this East Down area is John Boyle, who marries Sarah Witheridge 10 Jul 1749, per IGI. One of their sons, Thomas, marries Susanna Smith 1786, East Down. George is than born in Pilton 1871, married Ann Marshall 30 Jan 1814 in Barnstaple, then found as 50-year old's on the 1841 Barnstaple census. 1851 they have moved on to Glamorgan, South Wales. Their son Edward also moved to Wales, married (of course) Elizabeth JONES, and they had John Edward, my GGF. They Edward/Elizabthe branch immigrated to the USA where I have them documented from 1872. The occupations I find that explains the migration - Draper, carpenter, excavator, stone mason and building contractor. Any ties we should explore further? Happy hunting! Bonnie

    1. [Boyle] Boyle family in Fayette County, PA
    2. Janice R.
    3. I'm looking for PA census records or *any* other information for some relatives in 1910 and 1900. * First are Michael J. Boyle and his wife Jane. I know that Michael immigrated around 1871 from somewhere in Ireland, but I don't know if Jane came with him, or if he met her in PA. There are so many Michael Boyle names in PA from Ireland, this has been a brick wall. This family ended up in or around Flatwoods, PA (Vanderbilt area), Fayette County, eventually. *James Boyle - son - would have been born around 1890 - probably in Fayette County, PA, but I don't know for sure. * Hannah Boyle - She was also in Fayette County. I believe she was born in PA, probably Bridgeport, PA (the one near/in Fayette County) Hannah and James and Elizabeth were siblings. Hannah would have been born around 1882. At some point before marriage she lived in Smithfield, PA. She married John Kirkpatrick around 1903, I believe, in Uniontown, PA. (Her sister Elizabeth married John's brother, William , a few years later!) * Elizabeth Boyle - looking for info on her too. She may have been married by 1910, to William Kirkpatrick Jr. No idea on where she was born or lived before marrying William. Thanks for any help anybody can offer! -Janice

    2. Hi Moira, I had a grandfather named Thomas who lived in NYC and had 3 sons: Charles Edward, George Thomas (my Dad) and Joseph. He was married to Josephine Delaney and died before I was born in 1943. All the sons are dead and I didn't become interested in genealogy until after my Dad died so I don't have many clues. I know that Thomas had family in Pennsylvania. A sister, I think, who married a Riley and had several children -- one of whom, Sister Josephus, is/was an IHM nun. Ring any bells with you. Let me know. Also, I seem to remember Roscommon as a place of importance but can't get a handle on it. Michelle.

    3. Pamela, you sound like me, there has been almost no documentation on my Boyle line as far as family trees go online. I have poured over census records. It is possible our lines cross though. The farthest I have been able to go back is 1751, Robert Boyle of Bedford County, VA. He had 10 children, including a James and a William, all born in Va. Another brother, David who is my ancestor travelled to Madison County,Ky and then Todd County, Ky. In late 1820's he headed up to Putnam county, IL. His son, David Boyle,jr married Lovina Mathis from Champaign county, OH. When I checked the census for that area just looking for other relatives, there was a William Boyle, by himself in that county. Also, David Boyle, jr's daughter, Jennie(Boyle) Balderston named a son Philip Sheridan Balderston. Any connection so far?
