Milton was born in Virginia around 1813. He possibly was born in Shepherdstown Virgina (now West Virginia). Sina Bowles Boyd was born in Shepherdstown West Virginia around 1840. They lived in Chester County South Carolina sometime in the 1860s, and finally moved to Webster Groves Missouri around 1890. Milton died in 1901 in Webster Groves, MO shortly after the death of his 12 year old son Gideon Boyd who was killed by his teacher.
