I am currently working on the families of Andrew Boyd of East Greenwich, RI and his possible relative Solomon Boyd, also of East Greenwich. In the Town Clerk, Mr H Cookes, records, I assume of EAST GREENWICH, RI, it said that:- Andrew Boyd was born in 11 June 1731 in Cloyfin, Ireland and gave his parents as John Boyd who married Sarah Moor (e), the daughter of Andrew Moore of Hagles (now Heagles), Ballymoney Parish, County Antim, Ireland. He goes onto say that John’s father was a William Boyd. All these families came from the Coleraine, Ballymoney, Dunluce area of the northern part of of the eastern side of the Bann Valley in Ireland. I am not sure what migration routes Boyd families might have taken from RI to the West. I also know that there are six Rhode Island State Census of 1747, 1770, 1774, 1777, 1779, 1782, so has anyone on this list looked at these records to see if there are any Boyd families?
