PA, and have wondered if he is related to the Boyds in Cumberland/Letterkenny/Lurgan you mention in your posts. His wife was Martha Thornton Boyd and I believe she had a sister named Esther, but was not sure. Both Martha and Esther were buried in New Castle, Lawrence Co. PA, however, it appears Robert Boyd was buried in Chambersburg. Martha and Robert's son Josepth Thornton Boyd settled in New Castle and is buried there. I do not know of any of our Boyd direct ancestors that went to Virginia. Thanks for the help if you can provide any.
