    1. [BOYD] Jane Revill’s Compilation of the Original Lists of Protestant Immigrants to South Carolina 1763-1773,
    2. Mike Boyd
    3. I was doing further indexing of the material I found during my trip to the USA in June 2013, when I came to the book A Compilation of the History of the Boyd/Gibeert Family in South Carolina, 1767 – 1986, second printing – 1993, Julius Boyd, and on page 11 it mentions Jane Revill’s Compilation of the Original Lists of Protestant Immigrants to South Carolina 1763-1773, whereit says:- “a meeting of the South Carolina Assembly was held February 19, 1763. In that meeting, a decision to grant certain acres of free land to any immigrant showing verifiable Protestant faith.” Firstly has anyone on the list looked at this book by Jane Revill? If so, what “evidence” was provided and is this included in the book for the list of people. And does it tell us where in Ireland these people came from? I am looking at the family of Robert Boyd who in 1767 was listed as being of 51 years old Mary J Boyd, aged 50 William Boyd, aged 18 years Andrew Boyd, aged 14 years Robert Boyd, aged 9 years Agnes aged 6 years Robert was granted 300 acres and his son William granted 100 acres along Little River near Calhoun Mill between Mr Carmel and Calhoun Falls, South Carolina. This area appears to be in Anderson County, SC. So secondly does anyone belong to this family and know where they came form in Ireland? Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS
