There are several Boyd families of New Windsor, Orange County, NY. Recently I was given the names of the nine children of Samuel Boyd, born 1768 in New Windsor, NY and who died on 20 March 1839 at Philadelphia, PA and who married on 16 February 1793 in Newark, NJ Elizabeth Pierson. Elizabeth was born in 1771 in Newark, NJ and died 23 August 1811 and is buried Little Britain Cemetery, New Windsor, NY. Elizabeth surname might also have been spelt as Pearson. The list of these nine children is Mary Augusta, Augustus, Robert, James, James Kent, John, Samuel, Eleanor, Edward. However there were no details on when and where these children were born. All that can be said is that there were born between 1793 and 1811. On 24 September 1812, Samuel married Anna Maria Bayard, who was the daughter of Col. John Bubenheim Bayard and Margaret Hodge.
