Bryant You have two problems. 1) Many Boyd men will look very similar. So they will have that "Boyd look". During my various visits I have meet some Boyd in the UK and USA who looked very much like my own grandfather in his later life. 2) The second is wanting to connect to someone who is famous. Being a cousin not a bad way to claim such a link. But then all Boyds are at worst 26th degree of cousinship. My own family when I was a primary and secondary school claimed Ben Boyd, who was a large Australian land owner, started the whaling industry at Twofold Bay, NSW and build Boyd Town on the same Bay was called uncle Ben by my family. It was not until I started working on our family tree in the 1980's that I discovered that Ben Boyd was part of the Boyds of Merton Hall Scotland and our family came Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland and there was no link between the two Boyd families. The "other" small problem is that there are plenty of Boyd families that went to Ohio over the years, so it is going to be very easy to confuse the children's names from these many families. Even if you have a common County location within Ohio, I would say it was very easy to confuse a Boyd family. They looked enough alike to be twins! Sent from my iPhone Best regards, Bryant Reed Son if Cyntha Cecil Boyd 1906-1975 La Porte, Texas USA Cell 281-793-7837
