Yes Patricia during my 2012 trip to Texas, I did visit the Library at Houston. I even made sure that I got a hotel a block or two from the Public Library in the CBD only to find that I have to go about 5 or 6 tram stops to the other Library (allow being a visitor and not knowing the paying system, I did get a free ride). I lost one days research because the main library was closed and I did not find out until the second day that I could gone to the Genealogical Library. But I did get quite a bit of good information (which I still have to process). I also spent some days at the Austin Library as well. (But I did not ask either Library how large they were to compare to Dallas.) Houston has a very large genealogical collection, spanning two buildings. One entire building is devoted to family genealogies, while the other, much larger, building has everything else.
