In June last year, when I was in Philadelphia, PA and I walked past Benjamin Franklin’s grave it said that he moved from MA – I think in 1722 or 1723 – to Philadelphia after an Indian Uprising. By 1722, there was a number of Boyd families in the Boston/New England area. So does anyone know of any book or publications that might outline this migration and who these people were. Or was no record of this migration ever kept? So while we know that quite a number of Boyd families came to PA, some of those who came before 1722, might have come via New England rather than directly from Ireland Thank you Mike Boyd Historical Committee, HBS
