    3. The Arms Library is a bust. No Boyd family books. Local records (which I made copies) are limited to the Falls region apparently so it didn't cover much Boyd info. Pam mentioned NEHGS and they are better for MA vital records. Town and County histories mention John Boyd as an original settler but nothing on his family is given. Apparently, they were gone by the time historians started to write the local histories. As noted, only one was open, and I couldn't stay overnight. The Arms "librarian" did say the "other libray has a better organized genealogy/history section. So maybe all is not lost.
